Safety Tips

  • Always keep doors and windows locked, even when you are at home.
  • Ask to see a company ID when utility or service people come to your door.

  • Keep the blinds and drapes closed.
  • Get to know your area: where to go and where not to go.
  • Do not walk alone after dark.
  • When traveling after dark, stay in lighted areas with crowds of people.
  • Avoid dark alleys

  • Take a self-defense class.
  • Never leave your keys outside under a doormat.
  • Keep doors locked in your car at all times.
  • Use your female intuition—if it doesn’t feel right then it probably isn’t.
  • When alone, do not use your phone or dig through your purse as though you are distracted and not aware of your surroundings.
  • Vary your routine to ensure that you are not predictable.
